In November 2005,
Bonita Valley Baptist Church brought Glory skateboards
in to do a skate
outreach in our parking lot. To our amazement we had about 80
skaters attend. Most of
the kids that attended did not go to church. The skaters
asked us repetitively
about when we were going to have our next event. We had
no answer, because we
thought of this event as a one time thing.
It is anticipated
that this ministry will be once a month in our parking lot at
Bonita Valley Baptist
Church. The skate park will be free to all skaters. To realize
this goal,
Eternity Skate Ministry will need to be able to maintain this
ministry
with quality ramps,
publicity, and secure insurance, and to bring in skilled skaters
to do free
demonstrations for the kids.
